A Tool to Deceive and Slaughter

Description from the artist's website:

Combining Robert Morris' Box With the Sound of Its Own Making with Baudrillard's writing on the art auction this sculpture exists in eternal transactional flux. It is a physical sculpture that is perptually attempting to auction itself on eBay.

Every ten minutes the black box pings a server on the internet via the ethernet connection to check if it is for sale on the eBay. If its auction has ended or it has sold, it automatically creates a new auction of itself.

If a person buys it on eBay, the current owner is required to send it to the new owner. The new owner must then plug it into ethernet, and the cycle repeats itself.

  2. Your frenz on Shitypaper are crying, sob, sob, that you're using their real names and urls. see http://citypaper.net/articles/2010/01/21/artblahg

They are saying they're going to sue maybe... you too. You are the cause of all this just because you wanted to draft art-blahg's fame and stand behind those ancient snoggers Bibble and Rowcurtle, you wimpy little a-hole. If the insiders ever find out who you are you are in way worse trouble than us. Is that why you started this retrograde, sadistic piece--crap in the first place??????? We think you need fillytown because you suck and can't get anything else and you know it.

We suggest you moderate these comments and you posts. We have other tools to heighten the shit meter up on you and your frenz. Remember, we thought of this all in the first place, duh.

You should close this shit site down before they find you dotard.

  3. I didn't see anywhere in those posts that they were going to sue...anyone. We allowed those comments to show just how pathetic you really are. As we've said before: we have never used real names. The thin veil that you throw up when you use fakes names is nearly invisible. You attack people that you don't know, some of which are not "insiders" to begin with. Get a life assclown.

  4. Also, we do not know Richard Torchia. We have heard that he is a very kind person and, despite your rantings, he is definitely an advocate of the arts in the Philadelphia area...one that should be thanked and applauded for his work.

  5. I think I just figured out the logic of the growing ad side banner. Every time someone gets trashed by artblahg, they get added to the wall of fame. Right?

Yeah, I know, I’m brilliant, it only took me a month to figure it out.

Anyway that’s one hell of a long sidebar.
