  2. Pertaining to artblahg recent posts, I can't believe how effing out right dumb this asshole is! If he does have an actual art career, I fear for the future of art.

"We are No. 1 in all of World History!!!! YIPPEE!!!!!!" Ok, dumbass, who the hell goes around google searching "art elite unethical behavior Philadelphia"????

"Pewk PC Art Jargon Dribble Movie", stop stealing content from people who comment here, loser.

"We CONFESS: We Are Shaun", see you in court.

artblahg, the ratings at theartblahg are higher than yours and now even this comment will bring more people here if they ever happen to google search, art elite unethical behavior Philadelphia.

  4. Shiva here. Hi artblahg, guess what? Not Elle. Not Shaun, Robin, Beth, or Annette. Not Dustin, Colin, or Jong. Not Richard, Libby, or Roberta. Not Ed or Austin. Not with Pew, or any local newspaper. Not with any gallery or arts organization. You don't know me Vinnie, but I know you and I'm happy, happy, happy to send loving emails to all the people listed on your RomanII blog, to share ALL of your public works.

    Looooovvvvvvve ya!

  11. Hey look, artblahg farted out another weird ineffectual crappy blogspot hate site.

    Wowzers.

  12. Took a little break from the idiocy, BTW. Recommended for all idiots, myself included :-)

Last time I checked, zero comments on artblahg. Guess that outing really worked. Or something. What was it you were trying to do again?

    ReplyDelete
  13. hahaha! good try you pussy, Vincent. Afraid that being outed to your potential exhibitors might not fly so well? trying to p[ass the artblahg off as someone else's work, or that there was more than one person behind it? "the fact is, there were many other people involved in producing artblahg's content as any body with a brain would have sirmizzed. Designers, writers, art actapissed and others including me, Shaun."

All that your squirming will do is make me send more emails, you coward. Sending the emails is just a method to shut you the fuck up, but you just can't do it, can you? You just CAN'T STOP! For each piece of slander, for each lie you tell, for every demeaning comment against artists, I'll send more emails. Hm-mmm. Who Shall I out you to today? Suggestions?

Oh, and still not, Elle, Ed, Shaun, Roberta, Libby, et al. Still haven't named me 'cause you still don't know me! Shut up or put up, ass clown.

    Looooovvvvvvvve ya!

  14. oh hey, I AM ANON,

My strategy is that every time V.R. comes out with some stupid, slanderous, or demeaning crapola, I'll forward the link to this blog and the link to the Citypaper article, both of which clearly name names, so to speak, and also to his blog, so no one has to take my word about the vitriol: read it for yourself. No one can make that shit up. So, the curtain of invisibility that v.r. seems to think the internet affords him, and his dogged persistence in continuing to churn this shit out, are going to come back to bite him the the virtual ass. What do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well, I don’t know the dude, so I’ve not been inclined to single him out in real life. I’m happy to make him look like an idiot in his artblahg persona and leave it at that. I’ve said it before: it ain’t about some guy with the same initials as V.R. for me. All I know is artblahg is an asshole.

That said, I have to say after a year of this bullshit:

    ...grow the fuck up, Vince.

    :-)

  16. That new blog shit’s just a honeypot anyways. He’s mining IP addresses. Why? Because he’s a vengeful little fuck :-)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Agreed. I think that he's sitting in his lair, plotting what to do next and how to do it (am I right, Vinny?). He has no intention of stopping. (can you Vinny?) He can't.

His rantings are more than just demeaning hate-talk; I think the guy is seriously disturbed, no joke here either (is that right, Vinny?)

I admire your moral stance, I AM ANON, but since artblahg has no problem defaming people with their real names, or a close variant of it, then I have no problem identifying artblahg by his real name, or a close variant of it (am I good, Mr. LowManJello?)

I'm tired of his bullying and want to shut him up. (are you listening, Vincent?)

  18. i like that i agree with the people who write this blahg and the people who comment here, n i have no idea who you are!!!!! none!!! i only know romaniello n, of course, hate him and his hate. dis blahg does philly proud. <3 theartblahg!!!!

  19. Dear theartblahg admin, I AM ANON, Shiva and the other anons,

Greetings of solidarity. Thanks for being as outraged as I am regarding VR's trolling and cyberbullying.

    Yours,

  20. Dear theartblahg, I AM ANON, Shiva, and all of you other anons,

I'm pleased that I'm not alone in this. It is classic cyberbullying on Mr. V.M.'s part but he doesn't seem to like it when people push back. I hope that he goes away and that theartblahg continues as a satiric forum for what's going on in the area. One less hater would make the world a better place. My world, at any rate.

  21. I was sitting around thinking that I wanted to get in on a conversation about "art elite unethical behavior Philadelphia" and I finally found the place!!!! Theartblahg, you have provided a service that so many others haven't, a place to complain if something "sucks" and a place for google to bring you if you string together the words "art elite unethical behavior Philadelphia." Kudos!

  22. I think after that weird ballistic “outing” thing, artblahg took his crayons and went home to his new blog no one visits.

Oh, and don’t visit. It ain’t worth it. Let the little pissant lick his wounds in private.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Is anyone with me in placing a cease and desist for defamation and slander? It's time for this to stop.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Um, don’t care :-) But then I don’t have any skin in the game, I guess. If you’ve been slandered and want to go that route…sure.

I do think it’s kinda pointless, and better to let dysfunctional retarded dogs lie.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I suppose you are right. It would, however, be nice to see people band together and stand up to this rotten asshole.

    ReplyDelete
  26. We’ve been doing that here for a year, and anyway it’s clear to me that we’re his only fucking audience. He continues because we keep him from being bored out of his mind posting the same fucking post every other day with different names, like a Mad-Libbed hate screed. Who do you think he’s writing for?

Not his commenters. He doesn’t have any, because there isn’t really anything reasonable to say about what he posts. One can really only comment on the wreckage.

The only ones remarking on the piles of shit that he seems to have no shortage of are us. Here.

This is his de facto comments feed.

So, to play devil’s advocate here: if an asshole posts hate blog entries in a forest, and no one is around to hear it…

…should we even pay attention? Aren’t we enabling this shithead?

Open question. I’m of two minds about it myself.

  27. @I AM ANON
Apologies, I went to the old site to see what was up before I read your comment not to favor him. I also made note that there are numerous followers of artblahg's twitter account. I am not a follower of twitter, so to me, for all intents and purposes, it seems as if the mud slinging has stopped. His new blog is more of the same, worthless, but not identifiable as a go to place. Does anyone else know about his twitter deal or is it is not worth thinking about. I would like it to end, really. Artblahg can go on with his career and talk trash on whomever he wishes but the bullshit blogs have to stop. Just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ok, I'll bite, another elite. What are you suggesting, and how is that accomplished? Threatening to out artblahg seems to quiet him but his new blog and twitter feed indicate that the golum has no intention of quitting. Besides, who wants the job of policing that creep? Not I. So, what are you proposing?

    ReplyDelete
  29. The twitter account’s been there for ages. He’s more active on it now, yeah, but really…not worth sweating over. I think we can trust the broader art community outside Philly to recognize artblahg for what he is. Especially since he shows no signs of evolution.

And honestly I would say the same to those of you who have been slandered by this pissant. You may feel fucked over, yeah, but I can tell you that I, for one, recognize that this is just one shitty dude doing a whack job on people who don’t deserve the treatment they’re getting.

And I believe everyone else recognizes it too.

Think about it: if you had never heard of artblahg before today, and spent more than 5 minutes on his sites, right now, would you believe in any way that this was an unbiased party without an axe to grind, much less believe he’s sane?

You wouldn’t. Give your colleagues - in and out of the art community - the benefit of the doubt that they’re intelligent enough to recognize a blind hatchet job when they see one.

  30. @I AM ANON
You know what? I don't know you, but somehow you have become a voice of reason (albeit a somewhat sardonic voice) for me in this whole thing. Although I understand why those who have been unjustly slandered and embarrassed by Romaniello's hate want to totally stop him from writing anything more *ever*, I'll trust in your middle path.

I just hope you're right, man. Now, back to the world series.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Not sure if I agree. People said if we ignore Sarah Palin she'll disappear. That backfired. There are always people who want to listen to trash-talk.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Call Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts if you have been defamed or slandered. Do you feel that his words in any way have hurt or have the potential to hurt your reputation or career? That is grounds enough for a cease and desist. I already called them. If enough people who were affected do this, the sheer numbers against him will make a difference. I don't think that he should be able to get away with this without consequence (besides his own professional suicide). Seriously- he needs to be stopped by those he has hurt the worst.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Actually VLA’s a brilliant idea.

My main thought has been to not have people go blow cash just to get some crank to stop standing on the street corner with his pants around his ankles. But VLA…awesome.

At the very least, free advice on how to handle a bullshit slinging internet troll.

I happen to think that maybe all this online kvetching is counter-productive, in the sense that…well…we’re really this asshole’s only real audience. Every breath we waste on him just encourages him. Which is why I’m kinda shifting to an ignore policy.

But I do like the VLA idea.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Not a bad idea. If there are enough names on record, it is a powerful leverage chip. I would encourage everyone he defamed by name to call and add your name to the list. As I mentioned in another post, Vincent wouldn't know me if he walked into me, so I can't file a complaint. Unless, of course, complaining about his language, his behavior, and his godawful art will count.

Please tell me that it will.

  35. http://www.artsandbusinessphila.org/pvla/

great idea. I will call tomorrow and add my grievance to the list. and I AM (If I can call you by your first name), it appears as if he has 200+ followers on Twitter, some of whom seem to be Players in the art world in other cities. He also has, according to his "real" website, a show coming up at MASSMoCA, so I think it's a great idea to put complaints about this asshole into the public record. You're possibly right about our online dissing of him being counterproductive in regards to artblahg's behavior. However, I believe that your commentary and that of the other folks on this site have given us all a place to voice frustrations and to see that we were not alone, by a long shot, in thinking that this was a seriously hateful and possibly mentally ill guy that was running loose frothing at the mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Um, the show VR is ADVERTISING at MASSMoCA is an open call. Not something to get up in arms about. Actually, I feel bad for him that he is so desperate to be apart of the institutions of NYC. What a gigantic fucking loser.

Congratulations to THEartblahg for winning this war. His new url is too convoluted to find. And tweeting is no real way to digest his bullshit. Artblahg is done and will now fade away into the google searches of "art elite unethical behavior Philadelphia". Wait...actually THEartblahg won that war too. Ha ha ha ha ha!!! Good job anons!
